FRAUD AND UNSAFE HOTELS AT KAMAKHYA

I said about my good experience always but today I will share my worst experience at Kamakhya which will help many of u.
Yesterday I stayed in a hotel of Kamkhya it was not actually hotel but a big house. It has more than 16 rooms.  The local people calls the house Doctor's house. The name of the person is Dr Paramesh Sharma. We have taken 13rooms there.

When we went there to book room we gave7000 rs as advance. He was not agree to give any receipt. But he wrote on a page after many requests. The 2nd time I went there and gave him Rs.4000.That time also he was not agree to give us any receipt but after so many request he gave us the receipt..  My question begins  from here..
1. Why he was not agree to give us any receipt? Is he fraud?
Yes he is. I got my answer when he asked for the receipt..  He also forgot about my 2nd payment. He wrote about my 1st payment in his copy but there is nothing about 2nd. I'm sure that he would have been cheated us if I had no proof.

The next thing happened in that house with my sister.  She was changing dress inside her room. The door was locked. My aunty was outside the room..  He saw a boy, 15-16 years. He works there. He was watching from the keyhole. When my aunty asked him what was he seeing he was totally sweating and ran from there.

When we went to Dr Paramesh Sharma and told him about what was happened they completely denied the fact that it was not their boy they did not know him.Even two man of his house behaved with us very rudely. They came to hit our family member. In the next two days we did not see the boy..  They all knew about the matter but remained silent as asked the boy not to come.

 My question here is..
Are we going to tolerate these rude behaviour with our own money?
If the boy is not their worker then the boy is an outsider.
An outsider can enter there  anytime?
Where is our safety?
If a worker like this can enter there then he could also fit a hidden camera there.

My suggestion- Guys I'm saying honestly plz avoid this type of hotels like Paramesh Sharma's house if u r going to Kamakhya. Otherwise u will be in the same problem. They are very rude.

Have you ever gone in an imaginary world in real?? We all have read about it in poems and fairy tales but did not go in real. You have to stay a full moon night beside Dawki river, if u want to taste this Imaginary world. Believe me, the atmosphere will take you to a completely different world where you will be able to see the moon in Dawki's crystal clear water. The silver light will fall upon the sand and u will become witness of an unforgottable memory. This world is very silent and totally secluded from the crowd of everyday life...

My suggestion
When u will come to Dawki , visit other places of Meghalaya also..  U don't have to pay much for this...

Our plan
For us we were 7 people in number.we booked a rent Sumo for 3days with the capacity of 8 people from Guwahati (as I am currently living in Guwahati) .

We stared early morning around 7am for Shillong and around 10am we reached there, enjoyed the sightseeing and local food.  We stayed one night there.

The next morning we set for Double Decker Root Bridge. We had our break fast in a roadside hotel.

At 10.30 we reached at the Double Decker root bridge. We had to trek for 3 hrs to reach the exact spot. And then 3hr to come.

It was 4.30.We set for Dawki.we had no time for lunch because driving is very difficult at night in those places. We ate the dryfoods what were with us

At 7.30 pm we reached at Dawki. We talked to the local people. They arranged camping things for us and took us to the campsite with their small boat.

I can't share my experience in just words. The journey of 10mins through the river at that night was just amazing.. We enjoyed bonfire, chicken roast which were preplanned.

The next morning we had to good bye Dawki..But that experience will be remained forever with me...

People who live in other states book a train/flight to Guwahati. Then stay one night here and plan your journey.

If u want to know any information related to this place then please feel free to comment.

                                       Thank you for reading...

The small bamboo plants cover the whole valley like a green carpet. The natural beauty is so amazing that it is also called the ' Heaven of Earth'.You can see the hide and seek game of Sun and Clouds on the way of your journey. The main valley is covered with small flowering

There are lots of place on the main valley if u like camping.

                             The Main Valley
My Suggestion
Carry Winter clothes because temperature is very low here ,carry rain coats, dry foods, if possible carry a blanket..

Another Route:
jakhama is another trekking route to come or go...  Don't choose this route if u r trekking for the first time.. It will take more time if u r not an expert..  We choosed this route to return. This is a jungle route. U can select the route if u r an adventure lover.
Jakhama Route

Natural Beauty of Jakhama route:
U have to trek through a deep jungle..  Natural beauty is amazing here...  Sometimes u have to make out which one is the right path to go.. But inspite of all it will be remain as an unforgottable memory if u choose this route.

Best time time to travel river Dawki ..Meghalaya

November to March is the best time to travel in Dawki river. Dawki river is famous for its very clean water. But if u like to do camp beside river then I prefer February and March.  U can also roast meat beside river.

The local people will provide camp, pillow sleeping mat, they also take u at ur camp point beside river with their small boat and back to ur car point at the day of return. For these they will take 1000for 3people approx.  The Dawki river looks amazing at full moon night.

But if u only want to visit the u can go November to March.
